August 21 – ZURU Inc.
owns the FIDGET CUBE Copyright
and is suing for misuse of
it.
On August
31, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge P. Kevin Castel
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
A lawyer
showed up for some but not all
of the defendants -
specifically for Defendants
Numbers 10, 13, 14, 24, 35,
44, 57, 75, 93, 101, 107, 109,
116 and 119 on ZURU's Schedule
A.
Zuru's lawyer
emphasized the harm to his
client (as Zuru did to SDNY
Judge Ramos in a similar cash
Inner City Press reported on
it July, and to SDNY Judge
Jesse M. Furmn on August 25).
Judge
Castel said the defendant who
have appeared have until
September 14 to respond to the
memo in support of a
preliminary injunction, with a
reply due on September 21.
The case is Zuru,

Partnerships, and
Unincorporated Associations
