SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 28 – Habeeb Audu is
charged with bank fraud,
specifically,
spoofing.
On
February 26, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
complaint describes a scheme
in which "a male Participant
could have his voice
electronically altered to
sound like a female called
with the goal of convincing a
representative at that bank
that the caller was a female
account holder."
Audu is ready to
plea guilty - it has been set
for March 26.
The case is US v.
Audu, 19-cr-462 (Failla)
