SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 18 – Heng Ren Silk Road
Investments LLC sued Sino Agro
Food and others in a dispute
about seafood and beef "to a
the rapidly growing middle
class in
China."
On November 18, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
While there is a
request to assign a received
over Sino Agro, Judge Furman
said he has serious questions
about jurisdiction, both
subject matter jurisdiction -
he suggested re-filing with a
Federal question - and
personal jurisdiction, given
service of process issues.
The case is
Heng Ren Silk Road Investments
LLC et al. v. Sino Agro Food,
Inc. et al., 19-cv-2680
(Furman)
