March 15 –
Medmarc Casualty Insurance
Company sued Clark &
Gentry, PLLC seeking a
declaration is it not
obligated to indemnify the
firm and affiliates in
connection with underlying
lawsuits arising from the
firm's legal services related
to their Captive Services
practice.
For example, a
suit by Benyamin and Orna
Avrahami, business owners in
Arizona.
On February 22, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
A third
party defendants Robert Homer
and BNC Insurance Agency
wanted an extension of time to
answer the third-party
complain.
On March 15 Judge
Cronan held another proceeding
in the case, and Inner City
Press again covered it. Judge
Cronan said motions are due
April 14, and depositions by
September 6.
