SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 3 – Volt Electric
NYC Corp. had a lawsuit
against A.M.E. Inc. about a
contract for repair work at
the Jewish Theological
Seminary at 3080 Broadway in
New York.
On May 3,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Engelmayer asked the parties
why, as an "end run," they had
each filed new lawsuits. He
said he has accepted them as
related, to not burden his
colleagues.
Counsel
asked how to amend the caption
and Judge Engelmayer said he
hadn't thought about it, given
the rarity of such end-runs.
The lead case is
Volt Electric NYC Corp. v.
A.M.E. Inc. et al., 20-cv-4185
(Engelmayer)
