By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - The Source

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Aug 5 – Hiawatha Cuffee was injured while in a Department of Corrections bus on the way from Rikers Island to Bellevue Hospital. He filed a lawsuit that the bus went too fast and skidded; he was thrown forward, shackled.

On August 5 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Debra Freeman held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

While the defendants were asking for a default judgment for failure to prosecute, Cuffee was there.
