SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 18 – Eduoard Charpentier
and Marlene Deetjen Smith are
trying to use FOIA to prove
their claim of derivative
citizenship for their son
Pascal Charpentier.
On February 18
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
plaintiffs said they want to
amend their complaint, which
was initially sealed. They
were given until March 5 to
submit a proposed amended
complaint.
It is possible
that the proposal will be
opposed.
The case is
Charpentier et al v.
Department Of Homeland
Security et al., 20-cv-7510
(Woods)
