SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 3 – Mansoor Hamoud Hadwan
was a resident of NYC until he
says the US unlawfully revoked
his US passport, forcing him
into exile.
Through a Bronx
based law firm he sued in
2017. On June 10, 2021
in the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York, Hadwan appeared for a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Hadwan's lawyer
said she is overworked and
asked until July 15 to file a
briefing.
Back
in May, AUSA Brandon Waterman
filed a response for the US
Embassy in Sana'a, Yemen.
Now in September,
this: "Plaintiffs motion to
supplement the administrative
record or otherwise conduct
discovery is DENIED.
Defendants may file a renewed
motion for summary judgment by
October 15, 2021. Plaintiffs
opposition to Defendants
motion for summary judgment is
due November 19, 2021.
Defendants reply is due
December 17, 2021. The Clerk
of Court is directed to close
the motions at docket entries
96 and 118. SO ORDERED. (
Motions due by 10/15/2021.,
Responses due by 11/19/2021,
Replies due by 12/17/2021.)
(Signed by Judge Valerie E.
Caproni on 9/3/2021)."
The case is
Hadwan v. United States
Department of State et al.,
17-cv-578 (Caproni).
