SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 26 – Following a
knife-fight in 3034
Kingsbridge Avenue in The
Bronx, Carlos Caban was
arrested for cocaine and then
indicted for it.
On May 26,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Paul A. Engelmayer had
scheduled an
arraignment. Inner City
Press covered it.
Caban's lawyer
called in 25 minutes late, and
had not shown the indictment
to Caban.
Judge Engelmayer
said, You have to better, then
asked Caban how he wanted to
proceed.
Caban said
he'd like to do it in person.
Judge Engelmayer canceled the
arraignment, or pushed it back
to June 16. He said all should
be better prepared that.
The case is US v.
Caban, 21-cr-319 (Engelmayer)
