Paying Overtime But No Deal To Mediate

SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 29 – Bronxite Sandy Ruiz
is a cook for the Mexican
restaurant Cocina Chente at
3535 Riverdale Avenue in The
Bronx. She has sued for
failure to pay
overtime.
On
December 29 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Liman
asked if the parties would
consider mediation or referral
to an SDNY Magistrate Judge.
One said No, so the other
wasn't asked.
The restaurant is
also called Truffa Pizzeria
and Wine Room Corp, for
reasons not immediately
apparent.
Discovery
is to be completed by June 1,
2021.
