SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 29 – A dispute about
the condition of a shipment of
bulk acetaminophen has
resulted in a
lawsuit.
On August 27 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Cosco Shipping
Lines has been sued over the
cargo from China. The cargo
was involved in a truck
rollover incident on July 29,
2020, leading to crushing
damage.
The parties
did not consent to proceed
before a Magistrate Judge. So
depositions are due by
February 28, 2022 with a
status conference before that
on January 7.
The case is
Atlantic Specialty Insurance
Company v. COSCO Shipping
Lines Co., Ltd. et al.,
21-cv-4878 (Abrams)
