SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 16 – Ralph Lauren sued
Prestige America LLC for
infringing on its trademarks,
under the Lanham
Act.
On April 15, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge P.
Kevin Castel held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
plaintiff complained that the
defendant misled it that it
had filed for bankruptcy, when
in fact it was another company
- and asked for permission to
file a motion for summary
judgment.
Judge
Castel gave the plaintiff five
days to file an amendment
complaint, adding an
additional defendant.
He ordered that
when, as and if the defendants
answer the amended complaint,
the plaintiff may submit a
pre-motion letter on a motion
for summary judgment.
The case is PRL
USA Holdings, Inc. v. Prestige
America LLC, et al.,
20-cv-10201 (Castel)
