SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 12 – SweetPea
Ventures sued Brookstone
Partners Morocco S.A. and Omar
Belmamoun for improperly
producing documents and
initiating
litigation.
On
May 12, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Denise L. Cote
held a conference. Inner City
Press covered it.
Belmamoun's
lawyer emphasized that his
client does not concede has
has been properly served in
Morroco; even his appearance
on May 12 was conditional.
He wrote
that "Mr. Balmamoun and his
Moroccan lawyers have no
presence in the US and the
quality of the lawyers'
English also slows things
down."
Judge Cote ruled that
Belmamoun's and Brookstone
Partners Morocco's answers are
both due on July 15.
The case is Finco
Prime Consulting Corporation
et al v. Belmamoun et al.,
22-cv-952 (Cote)
