SDNY COURTHOUSE,
September 1 – Maria Torres
herself filed a lawsuit after
her mother Rosa Pena was
denied Continuous Renal
Replacement Therapy by NYU
University
Hospital.
On
September 1 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Abrams said she understood it
was an emergency filing, but
it still had to be served. She
referred Torres to NYLAG,
noting that even if Torres is
a New Jersey lawyer she will
need another to represent her
mother. Pro hac vice?
The case is
Torres et al v. New York
University Hospital,
21-cv-7228 (Abrams)
