SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 1 – Kevan Seales was
convicted of sexual assault in
the second degree, and then
was found with .38 caliber
Colt revolver and round of
ammunition.
On
June 1, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Paul A.
Engelmayer held Seales'
sentencing. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Engelmayer inquired into
the previous convictions, and
this one.
He spoke of
Congress' reasoning in
Federalizing the crime of
being felon in possession of a
firearm or
ammunition.
Then he sentenced
Seales to six months in
prison, starting counting from
May 6.
The case is US v.
Seales, 20-cr-359
(Engelmayer)
