SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 15 – Carlene
Vadnais has sued for an
accident with a USPS truck on
138th Street in The
Bronx.
On April 15, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John G. Koeltl held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The plaintiff's
lawyer wants to move for
summary judgment.
The US' lawyer
asked how that is possible,
without discovery on proximate
cause. The plaintiff's lawyer
cited a New York case,
Rodriguez versus City of New
York.
Judge Koeltl
said, as he often does, that
it's not for him to tell
litigants not to file motions.
The case is
Vadnais v. United States of
America et al., 21-cv-12
(Koeltl)
