April 27 – Walkie Check
Productions sued ViacomCBS and
BET for stealing a show called
"House Party," which they
pitched in 2015.
On April
27, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Katherine Polk
Failla held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.
Now the
issue is disqualifying the
Loeb & Loeb Law Firm for
representing parties adverse
in the litigation. Judge
Failla inquired into it, then
set a schedule.
The plaintiff's
motion to disqualify is due by
May 21.
The case is

v. ViacomCBS Inc. et al.,
