SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 30 – Jose Acosta sued
126 Meat Corporation of 126
Featherbed Lane in The Bronx
for not paying overtime or
minimum
wage.
On March 29, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge James L. Cott
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The defense said
depositions will be needed
because his clients dispute
that the plaintiffs ever
worked at the company.
Judge Cott
scheduled an in-person
settlement conference for
September 15 at 10 am.
The case is
Acosta v. Abed et al.,
21-cv-10147 (Nathan /
Cott)
