SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 8 –
An initial coin
offering by ATBCOIN resulted
in a lawsuit in 2017 and now
the defendants' counsel is
withdrawing.
On July 8 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Vernon S. Broderick held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The complaint said that
"defendants raised over $20
million in digital
cryptocurrencies by offering
and selling unregistered
securities in direct violation
of the Securities
Act."
But now the
lawyers from these defendants
are seeking to withdraw.
Judge Broderick
on July 8 declined to grant
the motion, saying he wanted
to hear from the individual
defendants, apparently on
August 5.
The case is
Balestra v. ATBCOIN LCC, et
al., 17-cv-10001 (Broderick)
