Seafood of the Gods In the Bronx Went Bankrupt Now FSLA Case Gets Closed

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Sept 23 – Panagiotis Pelekis sued SeaFood of the Gods Group, LLC of Hunts Point Market in The Bronx for failure to pay overtime while delivering fish.

There was a settlement; then the owner of Seafood of the Gods, David Smith, petitioned for Chapter 13 bankruptcy (Case No. 18-77107-LAS).

On September 23 U.S. District Court for the Southern District Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker held an in-person proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

The purpose of the proceeding was to "discuss Plaintiff's collection efforts." But neither side showed up. Judge Parker directed the Clerk of Court to close the case.

It is, or was, Pelekis v. SeaFood of the Gods Group, LLC et al., 17-cv-9245 (Parker)
