SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 22 – Jason Kortbawi was
indicted in 2012 for armed
robberies. Jump cut to June
22, 2020 when a violation of
supervised release hearing was
held by U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Kimba M. Wood.
Inner City Press covered
it.
Kortbawi is
accused of pouring gasoline or
an accellerant into a physical
therapy office.
He spoke for
himself and said there is no
video. But the
AUSA said there is video, and
his clothing shows it's
him.
Judge Wood
ruled he had not rebutted the
presumption, and he should be
remanded. But how? To the
Marshals?
No, it emerged -
directly surrender to the MCC.
The case is US v. Kortbawi,
12-cr-442 (Wood).
