SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 12 - In the Lev Parnas and
Andrey Kukushkin trial jury
selection process on the
morning October 12, one of the
first prospective jurors said
his brother is a real estate
lawyer for the Trump
Organization.
U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge J. Paul Oetken asked if
that would make the man less
than fair. No, the man
replied. But what will the
defendants - Kukushkin has
three jury consultants - say?

On October 11,
Kukushkin through his counsel
Gerald Lefcourt asked Judge
Oetken to "allow the parties
to defer the exercise of any
juror for cause and peremptory
challenges until a second day
of jury selection, after the
names of the venirepersons
have been disclosed to the
parties... to allow the
parties to conduct necessary
background research on
potential jurors and evaluate
potential challenges and
strikes." They cited a 2015
SDNY case.
Late on October
11 the US opposed Kukushkin's
request, noting that his "list
of people and entities
discloses the names of three
jury consultants and a jury
consulting firm" and asking,
if Judge Oetken grants the
request, for equal time.
On October 11
Kukushkin asked to exclude a
slew of Government Exhibits,

Late on October 7
the US Attorney's Office has
written to Judge Oetken
seeking rulings in advance to
admit exhibits including "The
Inaugural Committee Articles,
the FEC Complaint Article, the
Time cover, and the Russian
Root Emails." Full letter on
