UNITED
NATIONS,
June 15,
updated --
General Robert
Mood will come
brief the UN
Security
Council in
person
on June 19,
Chinese
Ambassador
Li Baodong
told Inner
City Press on
Friday. Mood
will be in New
York,
he said, and
it is just a
matter of
choosing the
right time.
Another
diplomat told
the Press: 4
pm.
Yet
another
diplomat
told Inner
City Press

was supposed
to be on
vacation, then
suddenly turns
up in New
York.

that during
only a three
month
assignment,
the mandate of
the UNSMIS
mission,
Mood would
schedule a
vacation.
Norway, he
said, shaking
his head.
Meanwhile
from
Damascus on
June 15, Mood
made an
"opening
statement to
the
press" as
provided by
the UN that
"Violence,
over the past
10 days, has
been
intensifying,
again willingly
by the both
parties,
with losses on
both sides and
significant
risks to our
observers."
Some
wondered:
are there only
two parties?
What about the
so-called
Third Force?
On
June 14
outside the UN
Committee of
24 meeting on
the Malvinas
or
Falkland
Islands at
which he sat
on the podium,
Syrian
Permanent
Representative
spoke and
again accused
Saudi Arabia
and Qatar of
arming Syrian
rebels --
