Mali Amputations Start Again

From Censor Guterres

UN GATE, May 13 –
The UN
Security
Council in the
second half of
March 2020
under China's
presidency
did not hold a
single publicly-viewable
briefing or
issuance of
Press Elements,
on Mali or any
other site of
a UN Peacekeeping
mission.
Then as demonstrators
calling for
President
Keita to resign were
teargassed and at
least two
killed, there
was not a word from
the Security
Council or
even for
usually
robo-tweeting
UNSG
Antonio
Guterres, Big
Tony G. Maybe
Guterres'
silence is
because he is
cheering on
the arrest of
journalists, including
Liberté TV
journalist
Hawa Kamissoko, after
he and Stephane
Dujarric has
Inner City
Press roughed
up and
banned since,
video here.
Guterres' UN
is corrupt.
Meanwhile
on May 13, the
UN mission
says "MINUSMA
expresses its
deep concern
about the
amputation on
2 May of the
hands and feet
of at least
three civilian
alleged road
blockers,
captured by
suspected
members of the
Islamic State
in the Great
Sahara in
Tin-Hama
village,
Ansongo
cercle, Gao
region.
These
developments
are
reminiscent of
the horrors
that marked
the 2012
crisis and
should be a
wake-up call
to all those
involved in
the fight
against
impunity in
Mali. "I
strongly
condemn these
despicable
acts. Such
corporal
punishment
carried out by
armed groups
outside any
legal
framework is a
serious
violation of
human rights,
including the
right of every
human being to
a fair trial
by a regularly
constituted
court", said
the Special
Representative
of the
Secretary-General
in Mali (SRSG)
and Head of
MINUSMA,
El-Ghassim
Wane."
Good.
But where
is the court
for the UN,
when it kills
10,000 in
Haiti with
cholera, or,
right in
New York
City, roughs
up and bans
the Press, with no
hearing at
all? Guterres is
killing the
UN.
This as
Inner City
Press, which
reports on Mali
and South
Sudan for example
is excluded
by the UN
Secretariat
from getting promised
answers - for
example to
this question
it posed:
"what is the
UN's response
to the
massacre" - UN
failure.
