COURT, March 23 – In
the midst of the Coronavirus
crisis, diplomats at the
United Nations in New York
partied on the Upper East Side
of Manhattan, celebrating the
cancelation of the meetings of
the Commission on the Status
of Women.
They put the hashtag
#CoronaFree on their internal
Instagram photograph, leaked
by a disgusted diplomat to
Inner City Press banned from
the UN 630 days by corrupt
Secretary General Antonio
Guterres.
Inner City
Press tweeted
the photograph, here,
cropped to avoid exposing the
source, and tagged Spain's
minister Cristina Gallach. One
of those partying in the photo
- all of them are named -
is José María Bastida
Peydro of Spain's Mission to
the UN, which Inner City Press
also tagged.
So what will they
do?
How corrupt is
the UN under Guterres, whose
spokesman Stephane Dujarric
now doing "briefing" for his
friends from his penthouse
apartment on the Upper East
Side, has blocked Inner City
Press on WhatsApp on which he
says he is taking questions?
And Melissa Fleming, who has
refused to explain the 630 day
ban or provide any appeals
process? These people are
