UN GATE, March 2 – In the United Nations from which SG Antonio Guterres has banned Inner City Press 608 days for asking about his complicity in the killing of civilians in Cameroon and their mass imprisonment by China in Xinjiang, on March 2 Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jun held a press conference about the coming month in the Security Council.

  He said not a word about the slaughter in Cameroon; his opening remark on Africa was all about terrorism, a concept 38-year president Paul Biya uses to justifying killing Anglophones who want a referendum.

   Zhang Jun left the UN briefing room claiming he had to rush to an NGO briefing. But that did not begin until 4:30 pm.

  And there, in classic UN hypocritical fashion, a long time UN hanger-on, Louis Charbonneau who while with Reuters secretly lobbied Guterres' spokesman Dujarric to get Inner City Press ousted, here,  now with Human Rights Watch bragged about asking a question on Xinjiang, which Zhang Jun used as a platform for propanda, while apparently called Charbonneau "French."

  They are both corrupt. Perhaps equally corrupt.

  And Inner City Press will not rest until these corrupt-os fail in getting it more banned than brain dead "correspondents" like Masood Haider. Watch this site.

 At the earlier "press" conference, the first question went to a correspondent who recently went on a junket to China positively covered by Xinhua, the organ of the Chinese Communist Party. The purpose? To say everything is getting better on Coronavirus and Xi is showing strength.

  Zhang Jun was served up a softball about Xinhua, then gave the next question TO Zinhua. This is what the UN has become under Antonio Guterres, who to conceal his financial links to convicted UN briber CEFC China Energy has banned the Press.

  The program, to be fair since Inner City Press continues to report on the UN Security Council despite the self-serving ban by corrupt Guterres, it's Iraq March 3, South Sudan March 4, Big Tony's Big Lunch on March 5.

   March 10, the Salame-less Libya; March 11 "Africa," March 12 Yemen. March 17, Lebanon, March 23 DR Congo where UN peacekeepers commit rapes covered up by Guterres (March 24). March 25 Somalia, 25 Middle East, 27 Afghistan and March 30, Syria (political). Watch this site.

  Belgium, of course, oversaw the colonialism and killing in the Congo. Its mission to the UN,in 2018 and since, did not respond to Inner City Press' formal communications about Guterres having it roughed up and banned. Still the Mission and Ambassador pontificate about press freedom and even the safety of journalists.

  The next, such as it was, is that Jared Kushner will brief the Security Council behind closed doors on February 6 at noon, when Guterres' spokes- / hatchetman Stephane Dujarric holds his noon briefing will refusing all questions from Inner City Press despite an on camera promise.

  The Yemen meeting on February 18 will be closed door, too. Oh, transparency. Thread here - and we will cover this all month, all year, as long as it takes.

  In the decaying sideshow of the UN and its Security Council, as five non-permanent members leave state media inflates their performance.

 And the UN of SG Antonio Guterres, wasting public money for example on Guterres' now three week junket away from New York, didn't even manage to update to Security Council's website at the turn of the year.  Even Wikipedia had, nineteen hours before, added Estonia, Eastern European Group, Niger, African Group, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC), Tunisia, African Group and  Vietnam." Inner City Press, which covered in person these five's performance from January through June of 2018 before being roughed up and banned by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres with no reaction by the five, despite claims of commitment to press freedom and even UN transparency, has continued to cover them.

    Kuwait, for example, which has gotten its KUNA to inflate its performance, phoned it in on African issues including praising Paul Biya, dictator of Cameroon.

   Its Permanent Representative, a pleasure enough man, when Inner City Press standing at the Delegates Entrance raised the issue of its expulsion and ban by Guterres, replied that if the UN Correspondents Association with state media like Xinhua on its Executive Committee was colluding with Guterres there was nothing to be done. One, this is weak for a member state. Two, it confirms how disgusting the UN has become under Guterres.

So what were the achievements, again? We'll continue to cover this and the UNSC, even while the censor Guterres and his Melissa Fleming maintain their ban on the Press. Viet Nam takes over January 1, 2020.
