UN GATE / SDNY
COURT, May 18 – This is a
story of corruption at the UN
High Commissioner for
Refugees, and in the United
Arab Emirates, and Cameroon.
It involves an
Anglophone from the NW/SW of
Cameroon, which octogenerian
ruler Paul Biya has been
killing civilians with the
consent and complicity of UN
Secretary General Antonio
Guterres after trading
Cameroon's position atop the
UN Budget Committee for
Guterres' silence on the
slaughter.
When Inner City
Press reported on this and
other Guterres corruption, it
was roughed up by UN Security
and has been banned more than
675 days since.
The
individual contacted Inner
City Press on May 17 with his
story and asking that it be
published:
"I live and
work in the UAE and being
forced to stay in a room with
a Covid 19 tested positive
case and one other showing
synthoms. My employer somehow
has forced this emoloyee to
not go to the hospital and
strange enough the center that
diagnosed him has not come or
followed up to make sure that
he is in a confinement
hospital.
We are in a crowded
accommodation and the normal
procedure would have been to
take everyone for test and
isolate us till we get our
test results that would mean
the chain of restaurants i
work for will be closed for
days. My owner doesn't want to
risk it especially as Id is
approaching when its the time
gis business should
boom.
My employer seems to be
someone with links to the
Royal family here. He is a
police man and whatever
complaints we have laid
against him ranging from
illegal deduction of Salaries,
forced labor have all gone
hitch free. The accommodation
he offers us even doesn't have
running water. We all use a
bucket to get water from a
central tank where water
collects. Under normal
circumstances in the UAE this
Accommodation should have been
demolished. He's illegally
deducted my salary for the
past 2 months running 3 months
now and all reports i have
made to the labor office are
pending. Some time ago my
complaint was withdrawn
without my
consent
I personally contacted someone
who had called me from the
labor office to inquire about
my salary complain. It was a
female voice and in this
distress situation now, i
contacted that person on
what's app begging for help.
Strangely enough after our
discussion i discovered the
profile picture was that of a
police man. And presently no
picture. Its been 24hrs. And
nothing has been done. 36
hours after the hospital
called my collegue to inform
he has been positive and my
Employer wants us to go about
our normal business like
usual
Now i am left Cameroon
escaping the conflict in the
Anglophone regions and i am a
well know Southern Cameroonian
activists and cannot call for
help from the Cameroonian
embassy here. If at the end
this employer decides to
repatriate me i would be going
to the same people I have been
running from. They would kill
me. I can't get gold of the
UNHCR. Equally Refugee status
are not offered in the UAE."
Now
one might assume that the UN
refugee agency UNHCR would
respond. But as Inner City
Press has reported, Antonio
Guterres before he was foisted
on the UN as a friend of
dictators like Paul Biya and
Xi Jinping similarly sold
out UNHCR.
Here is the
person's entreaty to UNHCR, on
which they have done
nothing: To:
"uaeab@unhcr.org" uaeab [at]

Subject: Refugee Status
Application Dear
Sir
I am from Cameroon and seeking
UN refugee Status or
Protection while in UAE. I
have been able to convert my
visit Visa into a work Visa
but in event of any
misunderstanding, the UAE can
repatriate me to Cameroon from
which i am fleeing
persecution. I would be
grateful if you could advise
me on the process of applying
for such Status in the UHCR
Kind Regards."
And from the UN / UNHCR of
Antonio Guterres, nothing.
Help is needed,
and until Guterres is ousted,
the UN system should be
defunded and stripped of legal
immunity, for criminal
negligence as for cholera in
Haiti and COVID-19 in South
Sudan, and for censorship for
Guterres' corruption. Inner
City Press will have more on
this.
