COURT, May 8 – As Inner City
Press has been asking about
troubling COVID-19 documents
UN whistleblowers have
provided it about the UN
Mission in South
Sudan spreading the
virus with no social
distancing on busses, flying
in internationals with the
virus and letting others
flying out while under
quarantine, the UN has refused
to answer.
Twice
Inner City Press has put the
question loudly to UN
Secretary General Antonio
Guterres from across Sutton
Place across from the $15
million mansion in lives alone
in. Guterres has smirked and
gotten in his chauffeured
Mercedes. Video here,
midway through.
Morning
after morning Inner City Press
has emailed the questions to
Guterres' spokespeople
Stephane Dujarric and Melissa
Fleming, with no answer in
writing or at Dujarric's
increasing empty and
ill-attended online noon
briefing.
(For the past
three days, Fleming's
Department of Global
Communication has refused to
provide video of the briefings
or anything else at the UN to
Inner City Press, despite the
video being paid for by public
taxpayers).
And when
Inner City Press responded to
an email from UNMISS and on
May 5 asked to the log-in to
SRSG David
Shearer's May 7 virtual
press conference, there was no
answer, except apparently to
remove Inner City Press from
the UNMISS email list it has
been on for years.
UNMISS
sources have let Inner City
Press know that the
mis-described chief of
communications of UNMISS is a
Shearer crony from New
Zealand, Francesca Mold - and
that in a corrupt UN process
she is being prepared to be
given a D-1 fixed term
position as Chief, even as
other are being summoned for
fake interviews.
But
it's worse: on LinkedIn Mold
already calls herself
"Chief Communication
& Public Information at
United Nations Mission in
South Sudan" (photo here)
- even while on the UNMISS
website she calls herself
"Officer in Charge
Communications and Public
Information Section." Photo here.
From Guterres
through Fleming to Mold, the
UN is engaged in censorship
