UN GATE, Sept 19
– Under UNSG Antonio
Guterres, the UN has been
covering up rapes for years.
Earlier this month a South
Sudan Ambassador to the UN
committed rape in NYC then
fled the US with immunity;
Guterres had no comments.
On September 19,
three new cases of sexual
abuse by UN peacekeepers were
data dumped on the UN's
website. Inner City Press
banned from entering the UN
due to its reporting, asked
Guterre and his spokespeople
Stephane Dujarric and Melissa
Fleming in writing for basic
information, of the type given
under Ban Ki-moon, on the
three casses. None was
provided.
Now they have
gone further. Inner City Press
RSVP-ed for a UN event on
September 21, "Addressing
CRSV: Private Sector
Opportunities for Engagement”
with CTG (Committed to Good),
and the launching of an
innovative partnership with
Bibliothèques Sans
Frontières." The event is promoted
by the UN Foundation, at
the Blue Gallery at 222 East
46th Street (not in the UN).
Inner City
Press was told on September 13
by Laura Katherine
Navalta, Bernadette Sene
and Fukumi Orikasa:
"Dear Mr Lee,
Thank you very much for your
email. We acknowledge receipt
of your RSVP and look forward
to welcoming you to our
event!"
But on September
19, suddenly:
"Dear Mr
Lee, I hope you
are well.
Unfortunately due to an
unexpected high number of
RSVPs at the ministerial level
and a last minute change in
plans, we no longer have room
for more press at this event.
I do apologise for this change
and thank you for your
understanding.
Have a lovely
evening!
Best, Laura."
This went to a
larger group, now includiing
Lindsay Forslund and
Geraldine Boezio. In charge of
this operation is Pramila
Patten, These people take
public money to cover up UN
rapes. Watch this site.
