SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 23 – Antonio
Guterres' four years as UN
Secretary General have
consisted of diplomatic failures,
cover-ups
of UN sexual abuse and UN
bribers, including his own connections
with convicted briber CEFC
China Energy, and banning
of the Press that
asked.
Now
Guterres, charged with racism
by his own staff, is trying to
steal a second term as SG by
blocking all opponents - Inner
City Press submitted the
required letter and C.V. to
force a much needed debate on
UN censorship - including by
sending this hypocritical
letter to staff: "Dear
colleagues, I wanted to share
with you my message and
remarks for the International
Day for the Elimination of
Racial Discrimination, 21
March. Racism is a vicious
global pandemic – dangerous,
abhorrent, ugly and
everywhere. It
transcends generations,
contaminates societies and
perpetuates inequality,
oppression and
marginalization. Our duty, as
responsible global citizens,
is to eradicate it.
Wherever we see racism, we
must condemn it without
reservation, without
hesitation, without
qualification. I also
spoke on this pressing issue
in February to the Economic
and Social Council and also
dealt with the topic in my
recent address to the Human
Rights Council. This
International Day is an
opportunity for all of us to
recommit to helping to end the
scourge of racism wherever it
occurs. To that end, I welcome
the various opportunities I
have had over the past few
months for a candid
interaction with staff about
this challenge. This is
part of a broader effort, led
by the interdepartmental Task
Force on Addressing Racism and
Promoting Dignity for All, to
promote an Organization-wide
discussion on this vital
issue. As part of the
discussion, we organized a
survey, which received input
from some 20 per cent of UN
staff globally. The
findings show that that racism
is indeed everywhere,
including in the United
Nations. We must do more
and better as an Organization
to address all forms of
discrimination, whether based
on race, ethnic or national
origin, religion, gender,
sexual orientation, disability
or other status. I have
asked the Task Force on
Addressing Racism and
Promoting Dignity for All to
work on a strategic action
plan to tackle racism in the
workplace. I encourage
all staff to participate in
the dialogues and various
workstreams of the Task
Force. I encourage you
to do your part to ensure our
workplace is free from racism
and all forms of
discrimination. As the
United Nations, let us all
commit to lead by example.
Sincerely, António Guterres."
No,
insincere Antonio Guterres,
the corrupt censor.
Consider this,
from the Africa Group, full
document here
on Inner City Press'
DocumentCloud: "6. Note with
concern the prevalent reports
frequently brought to our
attention on possible ongoing
discrimination; and, if this
is so established, we
categorically reject any
racism and racial
discrimination, as well as
other forms of intolerance in
the UN system organizations,
as it runs contrary to the
above-indicated ideals,
principles and purposes
including those enshrined in
the Charter of the United
Nations. 7. Expect that the
Secretary-General and all
heads of organizations in the
UN system will ensure that in
the context of the
zero-tolerance policy all
reports on allegations of
racism and racial
discrimination, as well as all
other forms of intolerances,
are treated seriously and
swiftly investigated in a fair
and transparent manner, and
where such reports are
substantiated that stringent
accountability and other
appropriate measures are
implemented without exception;
with full assurance for due
process and guarantees on
whistleblower protection for
retaliation against UN staff
members who report
inappropriate conduct."
But Guterres
retaliates, and is a racist,
and colonialist. Wake up, UN -
no second term.
If the UN
is to retain or even regain
any of its credibility, there
can be no second term. Just
say no to Guterres. Song
