UN GATE, Nov 13
– On
Western
Sahara, Inner
City Press has
repeatedly
asked UN
Secretary General
Antonio
Guterres, his
spokesmen and
now
Communications
chief Melissa
Fleming
about sexual
harassment
charges
against his representative
Colin Stewart,
which it has
exclusively
reported as
credited here
and even here.
Guterres has
repeatedly
refused to
answer, and denied
Inner City
Press access
to the UN he
lets dozens of
Moroccan
state media
into as he and
Fleming
continue
the ban on
Inner City
Press
supported by a
frivolous
complaint filed
against Inner
City Press'
coverage from
the UN
Security
Council
stakeout.
Now
POLISARIO says
"Moroccan
occupying
forces began
last night to
move a large
number of
gendarmes and
other security
forces in the
region. This
will also mean
the end of the
ceasefire
agreement and
will start a
new war
throughout the
region." Now Morocco
announces
that its
troops have
launched an
operation
Polisario says
that it would
regard a
three-decade-old
ceasefire with
Morocco as
over if Rabat
moved troops
or civilians
into the
buffer zone."
Inner
City Press in
writing asked
abou this. Without
responding -
in fact,
deputy spokeman
Farhan Haq simply deleted or
"left" the question
on WhatsApp -
Dujarric read
out this vague
statement: "In
recent days,
the United
Nations,
including the
Secretary-General,
has been
involved in
multiple
initiatives to
avoid an
escalation of
the situation
in the Buffer
Strip in the
Guerguerat
area and to
warn against
violations of
the ceasefire
and the
serious
consequences
of any changes
to the status
quo.
The
Secretary-General
regrets that
these efforts
have proved
unsuccessful
and expresses
grave concern
regarding the
possible
consequences
of the latest
developments.
The
Secretary-General
remains
committed to
doing his
utmost to
avoid the
collapse of
the ceasefire
that has been
in place since
6 September
1991 and he is
determined to
do everything
possible to
remove all
obstacles to
the resumption
of the
political
process.
MINURSO is
committed to
continue
implementing
its mandate
and the
Secretary-General
calls on the
parties to
provide full
freedom of
movement for
the Mission in
accordance
with its
mandate.
Stéphane
Dujarric,
Spokesman for
the
Secretary-General
New York, 13
November
2020." Total

Video
of briefing
with commentary here.
And for
Guterres
and St Vincent
and the Grenadines,
president of
the UNSC for
November?
Nothing.
Guterres,
of
course, is
corrupt. September's
UNSC President
Niger is
cravenly
holding special
events on
Francophonie /
Francophony.
Change is
needed - #DumpGuterres.
That
state media
lie is obvious
- but Guterres'
role in
orchestrating
colonial
lies, from
Western Sahara to Cameroon,
and censoring
and banning independent
Press and
refusing its
questions, is
decisive. Here
are just some
of the Morocco
state media
Guterres and
Melissa
Fleming let
in, and Steph
Dujarric
answers, from
the UN Censorship

-- "does not
exist" (also
a UN staff
member -
incredible)
There
are more, and
there will be
more. Guterres
should be
fired.
