Kerry / Al
Jubeir Plan,
After Envoy
Rejected
By Matthew

UNITED
NATIONS,
August 31 --
The UN
Secretariat of
Ban Ki-moon's
bungling of
Yemen
mediation has
become ever
more clear,
according to
multiple
sources and
documents
exclusively
seen by Inner
City Press,
see below.
On August 18,
Inner City
Press exclusively
published the
proposal that
Ban's envoy
Ismail Ould
Cheikh Ahmed
made in
Kuwait.
This was the
proposal
described as
blatantly
one-sided that
led to a
collapse of
the talks, the
Saudi-led
Coalition
increased
airstrikes and
the death of
more
civilians.
On August 31
before the UN
Security
Council
meeting in
which Ismail
Ould Cheikh
Ahmed and his
team were to
brief the
Council, Inner
City Press
asked UK
Ambassador
Matthew
Rycroft and
then his
French
counterpart
Francois
Delattre what
the relation
is between the
“new approach”
announced by
John Kerry and
Saudi Foreign
Minister Al
Jubeir and the
Council and
its envoy. Video here.
Rycroft seemed
to indicate
that Ismail
Ould Cheikh
Ahmed is
coming up with
his final
proposal --
what was the
last, rejected
one? -- and
Delattre said
the two are
related.
Ismail Ould
Cheikh Ahmed
went in with
his full team,
the members
and
work-locations
of which we've
previously
named, and
indicated he
will speak to
the Press
afterwards.
