Nov 21 – Twitter became X and
still Inner City Press used it
to report on trials, in the
Southern District of New York
and elsewhere, and on the
United Nations, and banks
behaving badly including Bank
of America being sued for
enabling Jeffrey Epstein.
Then, the day before among
other things this afernoon's
the Epstein files vote in
Congress, Inner City Press
lost control of its X account,
and for 100 hours and counting
X "Support" has done nothing,
see below. An appeal to its
parent xAI brought just
another robo-response. Now X's
director of product Nikita
Bier, launching a feature to
identify what country a use is
in, has been asked - three
times. After thg and gas, he
said journalists should come
(back) to X. And?
Late on
November 21, after an infinite
loop with the X box raised
to Bier without
response, a Premium
interaction to Grok led it
said to a referral to the
human / team:
PSDM-554140 We'll see.
In fact,
with Inner City Press unable
to maintain its long standing
account it emerged on November
21 that its coverage of the US
v Ghislaine Maxwell coverage,
linked to by another to show
cover-up, was suddenly not
available, disappeared. What's
going on? We've asked.
Then House
Oversight said Maxwell would
plead the Fifth, so no reason
to go down to Texas as G Max
prepares commutation filing.
It began
with an email, seemingly from
X, alleging a copyright
violation for using a UN photo
of Antonio Guterres. Soon the
account - with over 379,000
followers, many of them paid,
for Extras - had its password
changed.
A complaint
to X through a form resulted
in an email - which said, it
appears you still have control
of the account.
But this was
demonstrably false. There were
blatantly crypto scams /
spams, noted among others by
CNBC / CNBC Pro.
One reply
email to X, then ten, went
unanswered. The form initially
used now said, for a second
time, your request is queue,
then "something went wrong,
try again later."
Yes,
something has gone wrong.
