Spotify Takes Down Inner

as Diddy Detained Book Pends

SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Nov 28 – On Thanksgiving
morning, Spotify e-mailed
Inner City Press that it had
taken down Inner City Press'
podcast, hundreds of episodes,
without any notice or
specifying why.
Spotify wrote to Inner City
Press: "It has come to our
attention that this podcast
may contain content that
infringes the intellectual
property rights of a third
party. While this claim is
under investigation, this
content has been taken
down."
They took
down not only one episode, but
all episodes. They didn't say
who complained, whose
intellectual property was
allegedly infringed
on.
This
is a set-up for censorship.
Anyone who does not like
coverage can file a frivolous
complaint, and get content and
reporting removed.
Would
Spotify do this with CNN? Does
the First Amendment only apply
to large corporate media, at
least at Spotify?
The
click-through to appeal says
it can only be submitted once,
even though Spotify did not
say what alleged infringement
is being appealed. Inner City
Press typed in the box that it
puts up a two-to-four minute
legal affairs podcast every
week day, these days mostly on
the cases involving NYC Mayor
Eric Adams, Sean Combs /
Diddy, Trump, crypto, Honduras
and the United Nations, and
original songs with videos on
the weekend.
So
who complained? And why does
Spotify provide no due
process, acting in essence
like a censor? This comes as
Inner City Press is still
banned from even entering the
United Nations based on its
reporting, and most recently
after Amazon unilaterally -
but temporarily - took done
Inner City Press first US v
Sean Combs book, Diddy Do It?
This was
restored days later: "We
are reaching out about the
following book: Diddy Do
It?: US v Sean Combs, Part I |
ASIN: B0DHP7YF19 We
incorrectly blocked your book
and apologize for the
inconvenience this
caused. The book will
soon be published on Amazon.
Please allow up to 48 hours
for the book to become
available in the Amazon
Store."
But
now the clock is ticking on
Inner City Press' second book
on the case, "Diddy Detained,"
filed with Amazon less than an
hour after Judge Subramanian's
decision to keep Combs in the
MDC jail pending his May
trial.
America under censorship?
