Oct 26 – James Peraire-Bueno
was indicted for "conspiracy
to commit wire fraud, wire
fraud, and conspiracy to
commit money laundering.
The charges in the Indictment
arise from an alleged novel
scheme by the defendants to
exploit the very integrity of
the Ethereum blockchain to
fraudulently obtain
approximately $25 million
worth of cryptocurrency within
approximately 12
seconds."

Chen took the stand, saying
that in Medeira, Portugal he
was told not to discuss

the group.

October 26 the defense filed
to oppose " Chris Hoffmeister,
an expert witness whom the
government disclosed “to
testify regarding the tracing
of particular cryptocurrency
transactions using publicly
available blockchain data;
subscriber, account, and
transaction records obtained
from the cryptocurrency
exchange Coinbase; and
cryptocurrency tracing tools,
including TRM Forensics
