Eric Adams Adviser Lewis Martin Indicted by Manhattan DA Along with Son Porsche Cited

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Dec 19 – The five-count indictment of NYC Mayor Eric Adams was unsealed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrates Court. Inner City Press was the first one in and live tweeted it. City of Maybe book

The unsealing thread

Unsealed in state court on December 19 was an indictment and statement of facts against Adams' adviser Ingrid Lewis-Martin: "Defendant Ingrid Lewis-Martin (“LEWIS-MARTIN”) engaged in a longrunning bribery, money laundering, and conspiracy scheme by using her position and authority as the Chief Advisor to the New York City Mayor to illegally influence city decisions in exchange for over $100,000 in cash and other benefits for herself and her son, defendant Glenn Martin II aka Suave aka Suave Luciano." On November 11 Adams' lawyer at Quinn Emanuel wrote in asking to move up the Federal trial from April 21 to April 1 - April Fools Day. Letter on Patreon here.

On November 20, Judge Ho issued a 4 page ruling including that "The parties are ORDERED to meet and confer," on Patreon here

Jump cut to December 17, which Adams' lawyer wrote in: "the Mayor respectfully requests that the conference be adjourned" - letter on Patreon here

On December 18, the US Attorney's Office wrote in: "Should the conference be held, the Government anticipates raising an issue relating to extrajudicial statements that defense counsel has made relating to the case. See S.D.N.Y. L. Crim. R. 23.1. The Government may also file a letter on this subject in advance of the conference."

But it was Adams' lawyer who filed, near midnight on December 18, for a motion for a bill of particulars about the Turkish bribe, QE Austin TX partner's declaration on Patreon here.
