In Shaken Baby Murder Trial Jury Is Told Defendant Said Sorry on Phone in Police Car

by Matthew & Russell Lee, Patreon Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 30– A man charged with shaking his girlfriend's baby, causing his death of a brain injury, is on trial before Justice Juan M. Merchan.

On October 30, Inner City Press was there, the courtroom gallery once full for the Trump trial now entirely empty.

The police officer who responded to defendant David Patrick's 9-1-1 call said he saw no bruises on the baby, and tried to administer CPR.

On cross examination, the defense lawyer asked if the officer had ever before done CPR on a baby.

No, was the answer. But Patrick is charged with depraved indifference murder.
