CENTRE STREET,
Nov 14 – In the Daniel Penny
trial on November 14, his
former martial arts training
in the Marines, Joseph
Caballer, was called by the
prosecution as a witness.
Inner City Press was there,
thread.
Caballer
let it be known that the
defense has contacted him,
presumably asking for
pro-Penny testimony. That he
was a government witness
implied he was critical of
Penny or at least his
chokehold technique.
And he was.
But later on in direct, and on
cross examination by Steven
Raiser, Caballer acknowledged
that a person could hold on,
if the application of pressure
was stopped, and that he could
not tell from the video if
pressure was still being
applied to Jordan Neely's
neck.
