Of Duo Charged With Armed Carjacking in The Bronx Caught on Photos 1 Pleads Guilty

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 4 – Two men charged with an armed carjacking in The Bronx on July 15 were arraigned on September 5 before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Chief Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag court.

The complaint is replete with photographs, of one defendant on a scooter, the shooting of a gun, the bloody victim on Beaumont Avenue in Belmont, the duo back in the Mill Brook Houses in the South Bronx.

Both seemed upbeat on September 5, one greeting two supporters in the gallery, the other talking with his Federal Defender. Then they were taken back to the MDC.

Jump cut to March 4, 2026 when Fasasi pled guilty to Count 2 and the lesser included offense of Count 3. Sentencing was set for July 7 at 11 am.

The case is US v. Fasasi, et al., 1:25-cr-378 (Vyskocil / Netburn)
