COURTHOUSE,
Dec 11 – In the sexual
harassment case of Charlotte
Bennett against Andrew Cuomo a
discovery conference was held
on October 1 before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L.
Cave. Inner City Press live
tweeted it - thread
On December 2,
defendants filed that they do
not thing that 14 hours of
deposing Bennett will be
enough. Filing on Patreon here.
A December 4
conference was postponed after
Cuomo's lawyer filed a letter
saying a protective order is
needed to stop Bennett's
counsel from speaking to the
press about NYS taxpayers
paying for Cuomo's defense.

On December 6
Bennett's lawyer opposed any
gag order, and reiterated her
claims, including that Cuomo
told "Ms. Bennett he was
“lonely,” was “looking for a
girlfriend,” and wanted to
“get on a motorcycle and take
a woman into the mountains'"-

On December 9,
Bennett dismissed her case,
saying that Cuomo litigation
abuse was causing mroe pain.
Her lawyers said her state
case against the State of New
York goes forward, "We are
currently engaged in
settlement discussions with
the State of New York and
former Governor Cuomo, in his
most recent letter to the
federal court, has threatened
to interfere with that
process. In dismissing
the federal case we thus hope
that our client will be able
to resolve this dispute and
finally be made whole for all
the damage Mr. Cuomo and his
agents caused her.”
On December 11
Cuomo's lawyer wrote in to say
"As Ms. Bennett
knew, Governor Cuomo fully
intended to take this case to
trial, where he would have
been exonerated after a jury
heard the evidence—namely,
thousands of Ms. Bennett’s
contemporaneous texts and
videos—that refute Ms.
Bennett’s claims against him"
- and to ask that the order
drop the line, "The Court
congratulates the parties on
resolving this case among
themselves."Cuomo letter on
