SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Dec 2 –In the litigation about
NYPD stop and frisk policies,
on December 2 before U.S.
District Judge Analisa Torres
in the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York there was a hearing on
the City's slow-pay of the
agreed upon Community Liaison,
Germain Thompson. Inner City
Press was there, the only
media in the
courtroom.
Judge Torres
ordered the City defendants to
take step to ensure timely
payments to Thompson. Counsel
for the City insisted his team
is working on it.
They have
failed, Judge Torres said. She
ordered a status letter in a
week.
The City's
lawyer said this will required
"OMB, then the Comptroller."
Judge Torres asked if she
should have them come in to
court. Inner City Press will
continue to follow and report
on this case.
The case is
Davis, et al. v. The City of
New York, et al., 1:10-cv-699
(Torres)
