SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Jan 5 – A man the US says has
an open investigation for a
murder ten years ago in
Guayana has been detailed by
ICE, and filed a habeau corpus
petition in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York, which
Inner City Press closely
covers.
On
January 6 SDNY Judge Vernon S.
Broderick will hold a hearing,
after putting questions to the
parties.
The US submitted
emails with Guyana officials -
the Treaty Officer of the
Ministry of Home Affairs -
about asking for
extradition.
The case is Oja
v. Genalo, et al.,
1:25-cv-10215 (Broderick)
