COURTHOUSE,
April 8 –A man from Ecuador
who has been in the US since
2019 was detained by ICE in
Elmsford, New York.
On April 8
he filed a habeas corpus
petition in the US District
Court for the Southern
District of New York, where
Inner City Press found
it.
The filing
says that on April 1 he was
detained by ICE near his home
while commuting to work, then
transferred to the Orange
County Correctional Facility.
He is, or
was, scheduled to appear for a
master calendar hearing in his
immigration case on April 9 at
9 am.
The case
was assigned to Judge Analisa
Torres.
This case is
Peralta Malla v. Mullin, et
al., 1:26-cv-2903 (Torres)
