COURTHOUSE,
Feb 25 –A man from Venezuela
was stopped by local police in
Westchester County on January
30 and his car impounded. He
was told to come pick it up -
and was detained by ICE.
He filed a habeas
corpus petition in the US
District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
where Inner City Press found
it.
The case
was assigned to Judge Margaret
G. Garnett, who set a February
26 hearing. The petition
says he "applied in Mexico to
enter the US through the CBP1
application."
Inner City
Press remains on the case(s).
The case is
Huerta v. Noem, et al.,
1:26-cv-1248 (Garnett)
