COURTHOUSE,
Oct 31 – A man who has been a
fugitive in a 2011 case
appeared on October 31 before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Denise L. Cote. Inner
City Press was there.
The
defendant has returned to the
U.S. and self-surrendered,
through a lawyer who had
represented this son in the
case. A new lawyer was
appointed. Jude Cote had the
defendant sworn and asked if
he understand. He
did.
A new date was
set for November 4 at 3, time
to set a trial date.
The overall
case is USA v. Viera, et al.,
1:11-cr-1072 (Cote)
