COURTHOUSE,
Jan 21 – A man who was
detained by ICE on January 15
on his way to work in
Brooklyn filed a habeas
corpus petition in the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York,
where Inner City Press found
it.
The
petition, by a firm in SDNY
January 15 arguing for a woman
already flown out of the US to
Ecuador, says that "he has
resided in New York for years,
has a fixed address [on Bay
Ridge Parkway in Brooklyn],
and has no criminal
charges."
The
petition was assigned to Judge
John P. Cronan, who has
ordered the Government to
respond by January 22. The
case is Renoj Ordonez v.
Genalo, et al., 1:26-cv-407
(Cronan)
