For 4 Shots in The Bronx and 1 Victim Hit in Ankle Hogue Pled Guilty Now US Asks 10 Yrs

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 4 – Malcolm Hogue was presented in Federal court on August 14 and charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition - a single 9mm FC Luger shell casing.

It was before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag Court.

Looking back into the unsealed complaint, it described Hogue firing four shots on June 18, 2023 into a crowd in front of 1409 Webster Avenue in The Bronx, by a Blink Fitness, and hitting a victim in the ankle.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue cap featuring a Toronto Blue Jays emblem. He was identified by four tattoos, each in the shape of a star, on his right forearm.

Previously, Hogue was convicted of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree in The Bronx. On August 14, he was detained.

And on August 24 his case was indicted and wheeled out to District Judge Jennifer L. Rochon.

On July 25, 2024 he pled guilty before Judge Rochon.

On February 25, 2025 defense counsel wrote in asking for 84 months; sentencing is scheduled for March 11 at noon.

On March 4 the US Attorney's Office wrote in asking for 10 years.

The case is US v. Hogue, 23-cr-442 (Rochon)
