Dec 19 – For selling a Glock
.40 caliber pistol to a
Confidential Source in the
parking lot of the casino near
JFK airport in New York City,
a defendant was arraigned on
July 23 before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Valerie
Figueredo. Inner City Press
was there, the only media in
the SDNY Mag court.
The
complaint described, after the
sale, an unmarked law
enforcement vehicle attempting
to block get-away, resulting
in a crash requiring medical
attention for law enforcement
agents.
Despite
post-arrest statements, a plea
of not guilty was entered with
a conference set before the
assigned District Judge on
July 29 at noon.
Jump cut to
December 19 when Perez pled
guilty to Count 4; sentencing
was set for April 1.
