COURTHOUSE,
Aug 28 – A man from El
Salvador who was convicted of
third-degree assault after
hitting his son three times
with a belt was been detained
by ICE in the Orange County
Jail.
On August 28 he
filed a habeas corpus petition
in the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York, where Inner City Press
found it.
On NYS
WebCrims, it is noted he pled
guilty to Assault 3 with
intent to cause physical
injury, with having a retained
attorney with an office in
Hauppauge.
His habeas
petition was wheeled out to
Judge Ronnie Abrams, who asked
the Government to respond by
September 2.
