SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Nov 17 – A man charged with
stealing mail from the Old
Chelsea Station Post Office is
representing himself in the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York.
On October 30 he
was brought from MDC Brooklyn
to 40 Foley Square where he
told SDNY Judge Katherine Polk
Failla that he was stabbed and
beaten by guards in the MDC.
Then there was what was called
an incident.
On North
13, into the docket went a
handwritten letter from the
defendant:
"As I was
explaining to you about my
attack by the officers here at
MDC. I used the word 'slave'
and you got upset and went off
on me and my standby counsel,
stating that 'you wasn't going
to allow me to lecture you'..
Your Honor, I come from trash
and I'm currently in a trashy
hell hole called MDC."
